On the Road Again....and AGAIN!and AGAIN!and AGAIN

Wed Nov 18, 2009, 10:33 PM
Well after two months here living with my parents in southeast Utah, I am now hitting the road again! Since I can't find work here, and my little brother needs some help with his business, I am moving back to Bakersfield CA. My brother Paul runs Underground MMA Training Center [link] . Since he has to split his time between training fighters for MMA events and has to run the business side of the gym as well, he dosen't have enough time to get the gym moving into the direction he wants to move it in. With my taking over daily business duties Paul will have the time to train more people and get the business to grow into it's potential. So I will head back to Bakersfield and stay with my brother until I can get a place of my own. I am SO looking forward to getting a place of my own. I have been pretty much homeless since Heather dumped me. I am tired of not only living off the charity of others, but having to always remember I am a guest in someone else's home. I think this move is going to open up a lot of great opprotunities for me though. I will tell you all more when I get down there.

The Sleeper Must Awaken!

Hi folks! Well I have been here in Utah for just over a month now. I came with the intention of helping to take care of my parents, but in the first week I got Pink Eye, a UTI, and a nasty bout of Pnumonia. I was in the hospital for four days and had to wear an Oxygen mask for a week after that. At least on the physical side, I am doing much better. I have lost over 40 pounds since I left Washington. Heartbreak and illness took care of the first 30 pounds, eating healthy and walking 2 miles a day took off another 10. I plan to be down to 200 by the end of November. Emotionally though, things are still up in the air. I am still in love with my ex-girlfriend Heather. I hope that the improvements I am making in my life will help her shed her fear of the commitment of marriage. I know it's not realistic, but hey Love makes fools of us all right? Plus it will help make me a physicaly fit fool with a much better job. I am going to be working at a camp for troubled kids. I am looking forward to helping these kids to straighten their lives out as I do the same with my own. So all in all, I am doing my best to keep my chin up and finally live up to my potentals!

On to a new life!

I just moved to Escalante Utah. The woman I loved decided I wasn't worth the commitment of marriage, so I pulled up stakes and embarked onto my next adventure. I am staying with my parental units until I get my own place, which should be in the next couple of months. I've gone from forcing myself to grind through day after day to jumping out of bed each day and grabbing life by the through. I hope this will get me off my ass and get some new art done too!

Cracking the WIP

Sat Oct 11, 2008, 8:38 PM
Hi folks! I have been working on a more cartoon style over the last few weeks. I picked up a couple of books from one of my favorite artists, Ben Caldwell. I love the energy and action that the cartoon style seems to have, and just looking at that style of art looks fun to draw. I just posted a few new pieces and am happy with the direction my art is going. I will be working on coloring soon as I am getting an IMac in the next week or so. Please let me know what you guys think, and any tips and suggestions are always welcome!

Being a 37 year old drop out...

Sun Aug 3, 2008, 7:19 PM
Ok I am really bummed right now! Since my computer died on me, I can't run the software I need for my school work. I had planned to use the tax incentive check I got to fix my comp, but it had to go to rent. So now I need to take a few terms off from school until I can save up a few hundred bucks. On my time off now, I am working on getting my skills back. If any of you out there like to ink or color, feel free to let me know. I get so much inspiration and creative energy when I get to work with other talented people! I love working with the great Fred Sadek, but he is also working on commissions so he doesn't always have time. Plus I would love to make some more working relationships with the great artists here on DA. Let me know if anyone is interested!
